Kylie's Bunk

Kylie skipped into her cabin happily, spinning around a bit and dancing to the music in her head.

Drake came into his cabin after kissing Mary, his girlfriend, goodbye. He walked in toward his bunk, then saw Kylie, his sister.

He wanted to know if the rumors were true, so he said, "Hey, sis. I've heard you like that guy who's always in his workshop, Derek. Tell me it isn't true."

Kylie smiled at Drake as he came in. "Hey bro." she said softly. Then she heard what hewas saying and blushed. "I do. Oh gosh, Drake. He's so smart! And so sweet!" Kylie said before letting out a dramatic sigh and falling onto her bunk.

He sighed and said, "Kylie, what is there to like about a scarred guy who runs from everyone. He probably doesn't even like you back."

Kylie frowned. "So he has a few scars. And I'm going to fix him. And it doesn't matter if he likes me back. He could hate me but I still like him." she said.

He said, "I bet he doesn't even do anything in that workshop of his. I bet he just uses it to get away from you, like he tried to today." Tried was the key word there, I knew she had followed him.

Kylie rolled her eyes. "He has amazing work in there, Drake." Kylie told him. "Don't act like you know him. Because you don't."

OOC: well that's just ironic 0_0

He said, "Well, you know him so well then? Tell me about him if you know so much."

OOC: What's the irony?

Kylie glared at him. "He's focused and passionate. And he obviously loves his mother very much. He enjoys his work very much." she said.

OOC: wait. I'm thinking of something else.

He said, "So you know a little about him. Do you know anything of his past? Anything at all?" It was little he hadn't known. So Derek was working in there, on a giant suit like people said. Well, he was wrong on one thing.

OOC: I think she should take a shot at Drake and Mary, how public Drake made their relationship. That made Mary a bit uncomfortable at first, and that's what I think Kylie should use to tell him he's no expert.

"At least I didn't walk around just proclaiming my relationship without making sure the other person was okay with it!" Kylie said. "Some expert of love you are."

I flinched internally at that before saying, "But Mary...she was fine in the end. She and I are still together, she still loves me just as much as I love her. It would have become public anyway, because of our mother. Everyone here does it, you'll likely have to. Would you want to be humiliated when they see you with Derek?"

"I wouldn't be humiliated." Kylie spat. "I may be the daughter of Aphrodite, but I'm not shallow like you."

I said, "So be it, Kylie."

I came into the Aphrodite cabin, I'd wanted to see Kylie. I saw her and exclaimed, "Kylie! Good to see you." I noticed a guy sitting there, surprise and a hint of disgust on his face. I asked, "Who might you be?"

OOC: Yeah, decided to bring Derek in.

"Derek!" Kylie said happily. She rushed over to him and gave him a hug. She pulled back a bit and glared at Drake. "That's Drake."

"Nothing. Don't worry about him. How are you?" she asked, looking at him.

I said, "I'm doing very well. My work will be complete within weeks if I just focused. However, with my work's completion at hand, I wanted to spend more time with you, because...well, I've thought about it some and...well, I want to be with you, Kylie. I really do, after thinking it over. And don't worry about my mother, she's totally fine with me focusing less on my work, now that it's almost done."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The god of being antisocial was coming out of his hiding for Kylie. He did, in fact, like her back. I was shocked, to say the least, and couldn't hide it at all.

Kylie couldn't keep the smile off of her face and quickly hugged him again. "I want ti be with you too." she said softly.

I hugged her back and said, "I knew you would say that, love."

I started stammering impulsively, "This isn't-can't be-what in the-I don't know anymore."

Kylie pulled away from Derek, grabbed a pillow and chucked it at Drake.

I got hit by the pillow and reeled back a bit at the impact. I then dropped the pillow and walked out to find Mary.

I said, as he left, "Well, I'd really like to know what he did to deserve that. Curiosity's killing me, what can I say?"

"He was being a shallow jerk." Kylie said with a frown, watching Drake leave.

"Shallow in judging you before he even knows you. He has some crazy idea in his head that I'd be humiliated when I'm with you. But he needs a reality check. I really really do like you Derek." she said softly.
